Consumer terms of use
These terms apply when you initiate a payment through the MVP Payments hosted payment page — the screens where you choose your bank and approve a payment to a business. The company details of the platform operator are on the imprint page.
1. Using the hosted payment page
The hosted payment page lets you pay a business directly from your bank account. You are responsible for checking the payment details — who you are paying and how much — before you approve the payment with your bank.
- Only pay businesses you know and trust.
- Once your bank has executed a payment it cannot be recalled by us — a payment sent on your approval to the recipient shown is not our liability.
- The name, amount and reference shown on the payment page are supplied by the business you are paying — if something looks wrong, stop and contact them before approving.
2. Refunds
Refunds come from the business you paid, under their refund policy — contact them directly. MVP Payments is not a party to your purchase and cannot judge or settle disputes about it. If a refund is agreed, the business pays it back to your bank account by their own means.
3. No advice
Nothing on the payment page or this website is financial or professional advice. If you are unsure about a payment or a purchase, take independent advice before approving it.
4. Who initiates your payment
The payment you came here from
- Initiated by
- Licence number
- Home country of the authorisation
- Payment reference
Your payment is initiated under PSD2 as a payment initiation service, by an authorised payment initiation service provider acting under its own licence. That provider is named on your payment page — in the sentence that asks for your agreement, and with its regulator and licence number under "Full details" — and, when you arrive here from a payment, it is shown above. It is recorded against your payment when the payment is created, so it cannot change afterwards.
MVP Payments provides the technology the provider uses — the payment page and the connection to your bank. Where a payment page names MVP Payments itself as the provider, the payment is initiated under the platform operator's own licence. In every case:
- you approve the payment with your own bank, using your bank's own strong customer authentication — your banking credentials are never stored by us;
- the money moves directly from your bank account to the business's bank account — MVP Payments never holds your funds;
- your rights against your bank for unauthorised or defective payments under PSD2 are unaffected by these terms.
5. Consent
By choosing a bank and continuing, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms and to our privacy policy, and you consent to the payment being initiated from your account. The payment page records that consent.
